With the release of this image on Twitter with the explanation “Grid fins are stowed on ascent and then deploy on reentry for “x-wing” style control. …”, Elon Musk has continued his challenge of the patent owned by Blue Origin, the space company founded by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, for reusable spacecraft, the West Texas News reports.
Not much has been going in at Blue Origin for the past few years, though we found this video of a launch and descent, SpaceX-style, on their Youtube channel:
Don’t hold your breath for any quick resolution of this. WTN reports: “The decision regarding the matter will be taken next summer, as suggested by standard procedure.”
